Listed below are various links to the web pages of Spanish bodies that prepare the main statistics of variables that have an impact on the real estate market and the mortgage market: INE (National Institute of Statistics), Ministry of Transports, Movility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), Bank of Spain, General Council of the Notariat and Property Registrars.
The links have been selected considering their interest with respect to conducting appraisals (figures on populations and homes) or for monitoring the potential business of the sector.
At the end, there is an additional link to the web page of the Spanish Mortgage Association, whose statistics provide first-hand data on the situation of the mortgage credit market in our country, in addition to other information of interest.
It should be noted that statistics often provide apparently contradictory data about the same facts, such as the evolution of home prices. This makes it advisable to delve into the sources, objectives and methodologies used to prepare the various statistics and to use them considering their unique characteristics. Therefore, the links are accompanied (whenever possible) by the respective methodology published by the corresponding body.
