Standards

Standards

In this section you can consult the standards that affect the valuation sector in some way, especially the appraisal of immovable property.

On the one hand, we have included international standards prepared by groupings such as the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and The European Group of Valuers’ Associations (TEGoVA), which are engaged in drafting self-regulation standards of the profession, among other things. Likewise, the standards for the measurement of immovable property drafted by the International Property Measurement Standards Coalition (IPMSC) are relevant.

On the other hand, we present a complete compendium of self-regulation standards drafted by members of the AEV and approved in recent years by its General Assembly, as well as projects for standards that are submitted to public consultation. These standards have been drafted for the purpose of 1) unifying the criteria and methodologies applied by appraisal companies; 2) promoting thoroughness, quality and transparency in valuation reports; and 3) delving deeper into areas not covered by legislation in force.
