The AEV (Asociación Española de Análisis de Valor) is a non-profit entity that was founded at the end of 2012 by three of the main Appraisal Companies in Spain: Sociedad de Tasación, Tinsa and Sivasa and is registered in the National Registry of Associations with number 601621.

It currently comprises 22 appraisal companies that do 86% of the valuations performed in Spain. All of these companies are explicitly committed to professional independence and quality work. The AEV is also a member of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), the European Mortgage Federation (EMF), the International Ethics Standards Coalition (IESC), the International Property Measurement Standards Coalition (IPMSC) and the Asociación Hipotecaria Española (AHE: Spanish Mortgage Association).

The AEV is open to any interested firm operating in the field of valuation that shares the AEV’s corporate objectives:

·         Favouring the development of the valuation, appraisal and value analysis sector.

·         Promoting good professional practices targeted at guaranteeing the independence, self-regulation, transparency and technical thoroughness of its members.

·         Representing its members, defending their interests and promoting their reputation.

The AEV seeks to offer the necessary information to society and the market to raise awareness about the professional practices of its members and ensure that those practices are transparent.
